This is the glorious time of year when we get to spend time with our families! For some it is a happy time, for others it is dreaded! Christmas time in our house is a very busy time, Jen and I usually have 5-6 family dinners, and a couple Christmas parties. Some years it can make for a scheduling nightmare, but we always try and attend as many as we can because we value and usually enjoy the time we get to spend with our families. Continue Reading…

I have a son, his name Gilbert Niyonsenga. I have never met him in person, but we have wrote letters and exchanged pictures. He is my Compassion Sponsor Child. Child sponsorship is life changing, not just for Gilbert but also for me! This month is Blog Month at Compassion, this is where an amazing group of bloggers are challenged to spread the message of Compassion through their blogs in hopes of sponsoring children.

Much of our journey through life is spent searching for a purpose. This takes many people on missions trip, or even get them to volunteer for a cause. Continue Reading…
We headed to Toronto found the little theatre and settled in for the film. (This is the riveting conclusion to the story. Miss Part 1? No problem CLICK HERE to read it!) As a little anecdote, it was a challenge to find parking near this theatre. We must have driven around the block 10 times waiting for a spot to open up that wasn’t directly in front of a fire hydrant! The theatre was large, it could seat 300, and there were roughly 60 people there. We settled in and awaited the start of the film. Continue Reading…
