Qualities of a Good Mentor

August 1, 2011 — Leave a comment

As I write this, I am preparing for my second interview. In the first interview, I was asked about a mentor I had in my life and the effect it had on me. Now as I prepare for the second interview that question is still in my mind.

So I will pose it to you! who was a mentor in your life and what effect do they have on the way you grew up?

Often times, we don’t realize that someone is a mentor to us, and even more often than that, we take that person for granted. If your are like me, then you can think of one or two mentors that helped you during times in your life when you needed guidance, advice, or even someone to just listen.

By now I am sure you have thought of a past mentor, or maybe a current one. Now try and think of the last time you thanked them! Mentoring can be quite the selfless act yet it is one that often goes unnoticed.

I want to challenge you this week to thank someone who has been a mentor to you, at any point in your life!

P.S. I will let you know how my second interview goes as soon as I know!
