We spent most of the morning enduring our 6 hour layover in the Amsterdam airport and land in Calgary at 1:30pm (local time). We will be spending a few days in Calgary to recuperate and collect our thoughts before returning to Ontario. We are also going to see the rockies as Jen has never been out west before. I will be updating again soon! Stay tuned!

Today is our final day in Uganda we will be going on a safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park and then heading to Entebbe to fly home! We fly out of Uganda at 11:30pm (local time) and have one stop in Amsterdam. It will be tough to say goodbye to Uganda!

We have now been away from home for a week, and today is one of the most exciting days! Today we will be spending most of the day with our sponsor girl! Jen and I are both extremely excited to meet here and we brought fun activities to do together, bubbles, kites, skipping ropes! We know it will be a lot of fun and a truly amazing experience.

We are leaving the hotel at 10am and heading to an amusement park where we will meet up with Pauline and we get to spend 5 hours with her! Looking forward to getting some great pictures and video! I tried to upload a video but unfortunately the internet connection is too slow for videos! I will be posting them all eventually though!

Update!

We had an amazing time with our little girl! Here is a picture of her and Jen, we have tons of pictures and video that we are so excited to share with you when we get back!

Today we will be visiting another child centre and taking part in home visits. The home visits will consist of being invited into people’s homes who access the Compassion centre. We will get to hear their story and spend time with them in a small group.
