New Business Idea

October 25, 2012 — Leave a comment

Today, I had a great idea for a business, which I am pretty sure no person has thought of before. This business will replace all of those useless pyramid scheme people fall into. This new company is designed to game the system. We are going to do away with the old and usher in the new!

The problem with the old model of business used by Tupperware, Epicure, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon, and many many more, is that so many people sell only one of the product lines. In my new company you will be able to sell all of these products and many more. As a bonus, you will be able to recruit people to work under you, and you were receive a percentage of their sales for helping them out. Thus doing away with the pyramid scheme!

One of the great things about the internet is that you can shop online! One of my favourite places to shop online is the Amazon.com Kindle Book store. Every so often I am in need of a new book to read and I love reading them on my Kindle app.

Another great thing about Amazon is their Affiliate program, users can share links for products and receive a percentage of the price for the recommendation of the product. The affiliate program is a great way for bloggers to earn some income from their blogs.  Continue Reading…

Jen and I landed the a couple of the last spots on the trip to Uganda (which I shared with you last time, if you missed it CLICK HERE) and were now faced with the task of making a $5500 payment in just two weeks, which is extremely daunting! We did not know what we were going to do and how we were going to do it!  Continue Reading…

College Thoughts

March 21, 2011 — Leave a comment

Welcome Back!

I thought today I would just type some thoughts about college. As I am currently sitting in class, a few things pop to mind. Especially in this class, we have watched a few movies, so far we have seen Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, and today we get to watch Precious. Movies are just the tip of the iceberg, we have seen many short clips from Two and A Half Men, Big Bang Theory, and All in the Family.

Now I can sort of understand why we watch these things in class because this class is about family systems, and I know that my prof is trying to give us examples of families that have issues so we can understand the concepts better but do we have to watch feature length films?

Sometimes I feel like my tuition could be much better spent than watching films in class. On the bright side, I have my laptop, so at least I can surf the net!
